I had the best time photographing 14 month old J at an outdoor session in Silver Spring, MD. She just started walking but she's already super speedy. I got a good workout chasing her around and hope she slept as well as I did that night!

Remember the adorable parents-to-be from a few posts back? Their baby arrived in August and I shot their newborn photos in their apartment last weekend. Baby L is gorgeous and inherited her mama's beautiful strawberry blonde hair. As you can see in the photos, both parents were absolutely smitten and I was so happy to spend my morning with these three. Congratulations MK & R!
I love renting gear from my nearby camera store before I buy anything new. It's often surprising to me what I end up liking or disliking when I try new lenses. Today I rented a macro lens for a weekend job and I am loving it so far. Here are a few photos from my backyard.
I had the best time with these adorable parents-to-be last weekend. They are expecting a baby girl in just a few weeks and I am looking forward to meeting her at their newborn session! We began in a pretty wooded area along the canal and then ended at the Spanish Steps, one of their favorite spots in the city.
I just got back from a short trip to Utah for a family reunion. We stayed in Bear Lake, sometimes called the "Caribbean of the Rockies." We had fun splashing in the lake with lots of cousins and enjoyed a few of the town's famous raspberry shakes.

I just returned from a quick vacation in Ithaca, NY. If you haven't been, it's a beautiful place to visit. My sister-in-law used to live there, so my family has been a few times. We spent a few days exploring the town and hiking at Buttermilk Falls and Watkins Glen.

Sweet baby Davis was 18 days old at the time of his session. He was wide awake for most of my time with him, which was pretty unusual! I loved his big expressive eyes.
